Mission:

The Ian Smith Foundation has been established to enable minority students from the Indianapolis inner-city areas to obtain higher education, through its programs of: Scholarships for colleges and universities; the Ian Smith Foundation After-School Tutor/Mentor Program, which will stress the importance of education and Annual Youth/Teen Summits, to build future community leaders.

The Mission of the Ian Smith Foundation is to encourage and support the youth of Indianapolis from impoverished backgrounds to follow their dreams for a better life for themselves, their families, and their community through education and service.

What is unique about our program is that it is led by young university students from the inner city of Indianapolis, willing to help other young people succeed. We all have a passion for giving back to our neighborhoods, the city, and its people, who we love. This drives our commitment for developing future leaders for our community.
